Filters are tested in accordance with Interstate Standard R EN 779-2014 on an automated testing system for general-purpose filters AFL 114 manufactured by Topas GmbH.

The tests allow control of the following parameters:

• initial pressure drop at nominal capacity, Pa;
• initial/average dust retention capacity, %;
• initial efficiency for 0.4 μm particles on a non-dusted filter, %;
• average efficiency for 0.4 μm particles at different dust loads upon reaching a pressure drop of 250/350/450 Pa on the filter, %;
• dust holding capacity – the mass of dust retained by the filter until reaching the final pressure drop, g;
• determination of the filtration class according to Interstate Standard R EN 779-2014.
